What is ShipList?
A directory of software products where every description is short, starts with a verb, and contains no marketing language. The constraint is the point: you can scan the whole feed and know exactly what each thing does.
Why so short, and why verb-first?
The word cap forces clarity. Verb-first forces honesty. "Track time across client projects" tells you what the product does. "The most powerful time tracking solution" tells you nothing. Every listing here follows the same format so you can scan without decoding.
What gets rejected?
Descriptions that start with anything other than a base-form verb (Track, Generate, Monitor, not Tracks or A or The). Buzz words like powerful, seamless, revolutionary, effortless. All-caps shouting. Descriptions over the word cap. The product name repeated inside the description. Punctuation beyond a single dot or hyphen.
What do the audience tags mean?
Consumer means the product is for individual people. Business means it is for teams or companies. Every listing picks one. The filter lets you narrow accordingly.
What does ShipList original mean?
A listing submitted directly through the Submit form by a builder. Not imported from another source.
How does hiding work?
Click the hide button on a listing and it disappears from your feed. This is stored on your device only, not your account. Use the Hidden link at the top right to see and restore everything you have hidden.
Can I submit more than once a day?
One submission per IP address per day. Your submission goes live immediately if it passes all the checks.
